HackHull - Education

HackHull-Education will be the second of a series of annual hackathons at the University of Hull. It is a 24hr event where students from various fields of study come together for a weekend to create innovative solutions that tackle the challenges currently faced in education. Participants will be in teams of 2~5 people. There will also be a series of workshops/talks to improve your hacking skills and some fun social events throughout the hackathon to spice things up! There may also be opportunities to network with industry partners.

The event will take place at the University of Hull in Spring 2022

What is a Hackathon?

Hackathon is usually a 24h or 48h event where programmers come together for a short period of time to collaborate on a project. As hackathon grows in popularity, many variants of hackathon have popped up, some even without coding.

How much does it cost?

This event is completely FREE to attend! There will be awesome prizes and merchs for the participants! So sign up while there’s still space left.

Can I participate if I don’t know anything about technology or programming?

YES! No experience in technology or programming is needed. Just bring your enthusiasm and creativity.

How many people can be on a team?

The team has to have a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5.

What if I don't have a team?

Don’t worry if you don’t have a team. Just indicate that on the registration form and we will help you find your teammates on the day of the event.

How do I register as a team?

Just make sure everyone on the team registers for a ticket. We will regsiter the teams on the day of the hackathon.

What are the restrictions surrounding COVID-19?
