MedHack 2021

MedHack 2021 is the first ever hackathon hosted by HackHull. It is a 24hr event where students from various fields of study come together for a weekend to create innovative solutions that tackle the challenges currently faced in the NHS. Participants will be in teams of 2~5 people. There will also be a series of workshops/talks to improve your hacking skills and some fun social events throughout the hackathon to spice things up!

The event will take place virtually on Discord, Twitch, and Zoom on March 6th&7th 2021.

Winners of the hackathon will have the opportunity to submit their solution to the Google 2021 Solution Challenge!

The workshop will show how to quickly create AR and VR apps with no technical skills or coding required and scale existing apps by connecting them to the cloud. Participants will learn to create real-time cloud-connected AR/VR apps using the echoAR platform.

What is a Hackathon?

Hackathon is usually a 24h or 48h event where programmers come together for a short period of time to collaborate on a project. As hackathon grows in popularity, many variants of hackathon have popped up, some even without coding.

How much does it cost?

This event is completely FREE to attend! There will be awesome prizes and merchs for the participants! So sign up while there’s still space left.

Can I participate if I don’t know anything about medicine, technology, or programming?

YES! No experience in medicine, technology, or programming is needed. Just bring your enthusiasm and creativity.

How many people can be on a team?

The team has to have a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5.

What if I don't have a team?

Don’t worry if you don’t have a team. Just indicate that on the registration form and we will help you find your teammates on the day of the event.

How do I register as a team?

Just make sure everyone on the team registers for a ticket. We will regsiter the teams on the day of the hackathon.
